I was born and raised in Berlin and had the great luck to live two years of my childhood in Normandy, France. We lived close to the coastline and since then I feel close to the ocean and its nature. This early influence being close to nature surely influenced my later choice to study Biology at the Freie University in Berlin. During my adolescence I started my first steps with an analogue photo camera, and deepened them during my studies and mainly during my PhD studies in Prague. Returned in Berlin, I followed some seminars focusing on analogue black and white photography with a focus on photographic techniques and hand on work in the laboratory. Further I learned to work with a so-called middle format camera (6x7).
In my photographic work three passions are united, the photography, nature and lab work.
